Research profile, current interests, and ways to connect.

I am a computer vision researcher and a candidate for the B.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence & Data Engineering at Istanbul University. My work focuses on medical image analysis, reproducible deep learning, and research engineering.

My current research examines retinal fundus age estimation through sequential studies of residual networks, Vision Transformers, preprocessing choices, and controlled colour-representation experiments. Across this work, I treat patient-level evaluation, inspectable artifacts, and conservative interpretation as part of the research method—not as afterthoughts. Alongside empirical studies, I build open-source tools that make computer-vision and medical-imaging workflows easier to validate, reuse, and extend across related research settings.

I favour patient-level, leakage-aware evaluation; reproducible experiments; and artifacts that make the analytical path inspectable. In medical-imaging work, I separate experimental evidence from clinical interpretation and avoid claims that the study design cannot support. I also prefer controlled comparisons that isolate one methodological change. Open-source research tooling is one way I make those practices concrete.
